573:0 In Christus gilt nicht Ost noch West
573:1 In Christus gilt nicht Ost noch West, in ihm nicht Süd noch Nord, wo er wirkt, wird Gemeinschaft sein, gehalten durch sein Wort.
573:2 Woher wir stammen, fragt er nicht. Er lädt zu Brot und Wein, bringt alle uns an seinen Tisch, lässt uns dort eines sein.
573:3 Drum kommt und bindet fest den Bund. Was trennt, das bleibe fern. Wer unserm Vater dienen will, der ist verwandt dem Herrn.
573:4 In Christus trifft sich Ost und West, er eint auch Süd und Nord, schafft selbst die gute, neue Welt und spricht das letzte Wort.
573:5 In Christ there is no east or west, In him no south or north, But one great fellowship of love Throughout the whole wide earth.
573:6 In him shall true hearts ev'rywhere Their high communion find; His service is the golden cord Closebinding all mankind.
573:7 Join hands then, brothers of the faith, Whate'er your race may be. Who serves my Father as a son Is surely kin to me.
573:8 In Christ now meet both east and west, In him meet south and north; All Christly souls are one in him Throughout the whole wide earth.
